They're essentially mash-ups of "epic fails" set to the tune of Bag Raiders' over-played 2009 hit "Shooting Stars." They shouldn't be hysterical. But they are.

And moving away from its starry, spacey roots.
Even eating up other memes in the process.
Certainly, this is a trend worth following closely. Even if it's not immediately obvious why one should.
