Maybe it's that being listless and This Isn't the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn 2 XXX Parodystuck inside is collectively melting our brains, or maybe it's the incessant binge watching, but the wonderfully broken Gossip Girlmeme is the perfect blend of surreal internet humor and broken quarantine brain.
It's been nearly 13 years since the iconic elite high school drama Gossip Girl premiered, but the show's always been in our hearts — and in our memes. It made a resurgence on Twitter this week.
In the Gossip Girl meme, misunderstood party girl Serena van der Woodsen asks her (sometimes) best friend and fellow Upper East Sider Blair Waldorf an inane question. Blair responds with an absurd answer, usually an anagram of the show's rearranged title logo.
In the first version, according to Know Your Meme, Serena tells Blair that she needs to pee.
"Go piss girl," Blaire responds.
"This is testing what little sanity I have left," Twitter user baro_tokiyo captioned their photo.

And while we're all doing our part in social distancing, at least we're getting some delightfully escapist memes out of it.
