If you're testifying during the first public impeachment hearing of 2019,Watch The Uncanny Counter (2020) Online it's important to stay hydrated. Good thing diplomat George Kent, also known as the one who's wearing the bow tie, brought his Nalgene to Congress on Wednesday.
Kent's bottle is a 48-ounce wide mouth Silo, which you can buy for $12.60 on the Nalgene website. (Nalgene confirmed the bottle's identity in a tweet.) It's 3.5 inches in diameter, which means that Kent — and you, potentially — can fit ice cubes in there, no problem.

Admittedly, it's not the sort of water bottle one usually sees in Congressional hearings. On Wednesday, for instance, everyone else had a squat eight-ounce single-use bottle, which is useless unless you only drink 1.5 gulps of water per day. Kent's not screwing around like the rest of these dehydrated clowns. His bottle, on which he has not placed stickers in an admirable display of minimalism, is six times that size — plus, he has 1-2 eight-ounce versions next to it as a little bonus.
People on Twitter are getting strangely attached to Kent's Nalgene. It might seem odd to focus on a big blue water bottle during a historic televised impeachment hearing, but it also kind of makes sense. Of course viewers, unmoored and overwhelmed, want to focus on the thing that reminds them of mountains, hiking, and an adequately moist flesh prison! I do, anyway.
