Apple's chief design officer Jonathan Ive and Asian Dramas Archivesindustrial designer Marc Newson have a special, albeit unexpected side project for the upcoming holiday season.
The duo is teaming up to design a Christmas tree, which will sit in the lobby of Claridge's hotel in London. The tree will be revealed on Nov. 18, the hotel announced on its website.

In the past it has featured primarily those from the fashion world, including Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, Burberry's Christopher Bailey and Dior's John Galliano.
It's not the first time Ive has stepped out of the Apple realm to design the odd side project.
Alongside Newson, Ive designed a custom Leica camera that was auctioned off for charity in 2013, as well as a Jaeger-LeCoultre sports watch that year in which only two were listed for sale.
