One North Carolina mom is Room Girls Sex Skilldoing her part to embrace the messier elements of post-birth recovery.

Amanda Bacon on Wednesday shared a photo taken from her hospital room after giving birth. In it, she's topless and clad in an adult diaper.

"This is motherhood; it's raw, stunning, messy and freaking hilarious all rolled into one," the mother of two writes.

"Having a baby is a beautiful experience, and the realities of postpartum life aren't spoken enough about," Bacon said before questioning why some might feel uncomfortable with the photo. 

"We all should try and educate, empower and embrace every aspect of childbirth, including moments like this," she wrote. "And do it while having a sense of humor. Nothing says welcome to motherhood like an adorable squishy baby, and a giant mom diaper."

Bacon's frank Facebook post resonated with over 117,000 people who shared the photo and more than 95,000 people who left comments.

"Way to go," one comment reads. "Congrats on your little one. Never discussed but always suffered. You go momma let the world know."
