• Suggested replies to text messages and emails

• A revamped Siri that can do things like delete individual emails or edit photos based on voice commands

• AI-generated emoji

• Automatic transcription of voice notes

Per Gurman, these features will require at least an iPhone 15 Pro (or newer) oran iPad or Mac with at least an M1 chip inside of it. These features will also be opt-in, initially labeled as a beta test — and will use a combination of cloud processing and on-device processing.

Some of these features will surely be a boon to everyday productivity, while others may not. Either way, Apple is chasing the likes of Google in this regard; AI-powered website summaries, voice transcription, and photo editing are already available on Pixel phones.
