In the days leading up to the inauguration, Whitehouse.gov, which featured former President Barack Obama's name at the very top next to "The White House," looked back at Obama's legacy and featured a large image of Obama walking to the White House overlaid with the words "Yes, we did, yes we can." Below, it offered a survey of Obama's accomplishments while in office in a number of key areas, including Healthcare, Climate and Energy, Equality and Social Progress and Economic Progress.
At precisely noon eastern time the page was replaced with this splash image featuring new President Donald J. Trump and Vice President Mike Pence and a form where you can to sign up for email updates.
A small link directs users to the full website, which is, surprisingly full. At the top is President Trump's name next to the White House. Below that, Trump's campaign slogan sits in a red box on tops of a black and white photos of Trump at a rally. There's a link to a live feed of the inauguration below that and then numerous links to the Trump administration's policy positions.
It is, clearly, though, a new era.
