Players have shown that the feat is possible with a good chunk of the SFVroster, which shows just how weak Akuma is against other characters. It also explains why you almost never see Akuma played in competitive SFV-- he's just too easy to kill.

Akuma can block combos when in the hands of a capable player, but his damage output doesn't make him a balanced character. Capcom is giving a buff to Akuma in the next update, bumping his stamina from 875 to 900 to hopefully give Akuma players a bit more confidence.

Whether that will be enough to make Akuma a viable pick remains to be seen.
