When Emma Watson won Best Actor at the MTV Movie and Secret Pleasures (2002) Watch onlineTV Awards, her message was all about empathy and imagination -- which makes sense, as she was the first MTV Movie Award Best Actor recipient in a category that wasn't broken up by gender.
"Although the whole singing part of the situation was pretty terrifying," she acknowledged with a smile.

Watson then specifically thanked Billionsstar Asia Kate Dillon, who presented the award after an introduction about being the first openly non-binary actor on a major television show.
"Thank you for educating me in such an inclusive, patient, and loving way," she said.
"I think I'm being given this award for a performance as an actor," Watson continued. "But it doesn't feel like that what it's really for...I think i'm being given this award because of who Belle is and what she represents.
"The villagers in our fairy tale wanted to make Belle believe that the world was smaller than the way she saw, it, with fewer opportunities for her. that her.. I loved playing someone who didn't listen to any of that."
Via Giphy"I'm so proud to be part of a film that celebrates diversity, literacy, inclusion...the way that this one does."
