No entertainment company on eroticism, violence, and sacrificeEarth loves to play the cat-and-mouse game of spoilers with its fans like Lucasfilm does—especially when it's for charity.
SEE ALSO: Yes, you can appear in the Han Solo movieStar Wars Celebration came and went last week with nary a word announced about the untitled Han Solo movie currently being filmed. On Twitter Monday, directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller (The Lego Movie) apologized for their absence with a pretty decent excuse.
This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed.
On Tuesday, they made up for it—kinda— with a Force For Change video from the Pinewood set that plays with the whole concept of spoilers. (Force For Change is Lucasfilm's charity arm, which is currently conducting a contest that'll let lucky winners visit the Han Solo set and appear as extras in the movie.)
The video casually reveals the first new creature from the Han Solo film—a six-eyed CGI creation similar to the character Ree-Yees from Return of the Jedi.
The movie's other Return of the Jediconnection? Warwick Davis, who hosts this charity video, best known for playing Wicket the Ewok. Lord and Miller also reveal that Davis himself will have a part in their film.
As spoilers go, it's not much—but at least it proves that Lucasfilm will be drip-feeding hungry Han Solo fans between now and the movie's release on May 25, 2018.
