Facebook may still have Dear Utol (2025): Fake Orgasm Episode 44the huge problem involving the scourge of fake news to deal with, but its gone and done something that will decrease your Facebook rage — just a smidge — by removing third-party app invites.
SEE ALSO: One of Facebook's most popular pages was mysteriously shut down for a few hoursThat's right, no longer will you roll your eyes and curse technology every time your aunt invites you to play Candy Cane Crushor Farmville 4: The Farmeningor whatever terrible game is on Facebook or connected to Facebook.
The move was announced in a post to Facebook's Developers blog on Thursday afternoon. The app invites won't be supported with the newest Facebook software development kit and, while older versions will still support it, those invites will end February 2018.
These app invites have been slowly worked toward the background since their peak (and your peak frustration), with the invites for Mafia Hitman 2k16or whatever appearing only on mobile and options to block various invites being made available.
But the annoying notifications will finally give up next year and, for once, there's something we can praise Facebook for. The world may be burning, but at least I don't have to deal with anymore damn invites to Candy Match Rallyor whatever.
