36 former Saturday Night Livewriters,Philippines production crew, and even cast members have signed an open letter in support of Senator Al Franken, who was accused of sexual harassment on Nov. 16. News anchor Leeann Tweeden shared a photo of Franken groping her while on tour in the Middle East.
"What Al did was stupid and foolish, and we think it was appropriate for him to apologize to Ms Tweeden, and to the public," the women wrote, but they go on to say that "not one of us ever experienced any inappropriate behavior" while working with Franken as a comedian.

The letter is from 36 women who worked at SNLduring Franken's tenure, including actresses Loraine Newman and Jane Curtin.
Oh man. This was a conversation they could all have easily sat out; the letter was likely in response to the most recent episode's weekend update, which discussed Franken's name alongside Roy Moore's.

Franken issued an apology to Tweeden the same day, which she accepted. He has not commented on or responded to the SNLemployees' letter.
