2. Experiment early and often

"Don't be afraid to take risks, and we've talked a lot about that already. It's just such an important principle. The bottom line is when you think about it, when you're trying to innovate in some way in your life or in your organization, it mean you're actually in unchartered territory. Be comfortable with that. Embrace the fact that some thing are going to work and some things aren't, and you're going to basically own that along the way."

3. Make failure matter

"You willfail. This is a given particularly if you're an entrepreneur, but really, we've all failed along life's path. I have many times. Im fact I sometimes read what's called a 'failure resume' after they do this glowing intro, which sounds like a perfect climb in life etcetera, and I come forward and say, 'actually, here's the realpicture.' I actually gave a commencement address about my failures. So, make failure matter is embrace those lessons for yourself and really what we hope we see is share those lessons so others coming behind you can learn and start even further along in their own journey."

4. Reach beyond your bubble

"This principle really calls for you to think about people who aren't at the table. Voices, as you're building a product or service trying to be a change maker; voices maybe that are unfamiliar to you -- different perspectives. Because it turns out when you look at the transformation movements, products and services through time, it's because it was a diverse set of voices, and experiences and backgrounds. So that's a very important principle and often overlooked or misunderstood."

5. Let urgency conquer fear

"It's funny. When your back's against the wall and you're in a really serious situation, sometimes that's when people can dig deep. I think for instance, I think about Rosa Parks who probably woke up that day and said, 'I'm just done! I'm so over it. It hasto change! I will dowhat needs to be done today.' Let urgency conquer fear is: what's your urgency? What's urgent in your life? Martin Luther King [Jr.] talked about the fierce urgency of now. If we lived life that way, we'd live life very differently."
