You'd think if anyone had an obvious Royal Wedding joke lined up and Spainready to go, it'd be Billy "White Wedding" Idol.

Turns out what Idol had in mind was even better.

Like seemingly everyone else on Twitter, Idol logged on yesterday to share his thoughts about Harry and Meghan's nuptials.

But what he didn'tsay was even more noticeable than what he did.

Yup, the dude went with "lovely day" instead of "nice day," "Harry and Meghan's wedding" instead of "a white wedding." It's so closeto his famous lyric, but not quite, and that not-quite-ness drove Twitter absolutely nuts.

Not everyone was mad at Idol, though. A few people respected the game he was playing.

Idol did eventually "cave" to pressure and give the people what they wanted. But only after a good 10 hours of making people beghim to say the line.
