In the video, Sotherton discovers that she has been upgraded to the heptathlon bronze medal for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games after retrospective testing revealed Russian athlete Tatyana Chernova was using steroids.

Sotherton retired five years ago with two Olympic medals to her name. She won the bronze medal in the heptathlon at the 2004 Athens Games and was upgraded to bronze in the 2008 Olympic 4x400m relay after Russia and Belarus were disqualified for doping.

Twitter congratulated Sotherton for her rightful victory and voiced their disgust over the steroid revelation.
