Who would win in a fight: Chris Evans' Captain America or LaruanPaul Rudd's Ant-Man?
It's looking like Marvel vs. Capcom 4could answer that question in 2017. The fighting game sequel that fans have been asking after for ages is reportedly coming next year, and the superhero half of its roster is expected to draw from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Nothing's official just yet, but "multiple sources" speaking to Polygon-- and, later, Eurogamer-- have confirmed that the game is in development and slated for a 2017 release. Expect a formal reveal this week at Sony's PlayStation Experience, likely during the Dec. 3 keynote on Saturday.
It's not clear exactly which heroes will be tapped for the game. Polygon's report implies the roster will stick to those characters that Marvel "has full control over," which means X-Men and Fantastic Four characters (among others) are likely off the table.
The absence of X-Men in particular signals a big change for a series that technically started in 1996 with X-Men vs. Street Fighter. Every game since has included mutants in some form -- even those released after the MCU kicked off with Iron Manin 2008.
That said, Marvel Studios has access to many heroes and villains above and beyond what we've seen in the movies to date. We won't know what the final roster will looks like until this rumor materializes into something more.
