The Rebecca Love - Bewitched Housewives (2007)Snapchat redesign is proving rather controversial, to say the very least. Indeed, Chrissy Teigen's already declared that she hates it, making us all feel far less alone.

And now, 680,000 people have signed a Change.org petition urging Snap Inc. to reverse its drastic redesign.

The petition, created by Australia-based Nic Rumsey, aims to "convince" Snap Inc. to "change the app back to the basics," and reverse its latest update.

"With the release of the new Snapchat update, many users have found that it has not made the app easier to use, but has in fact made many features more difficult," reads the petition description. "There is a general level of annoyance among users and many have decided to use a VPN app to go back to the old Snapchat, as that’s how annoying this new update has become."

The petition goes on to describe the "new features" as "useless," stating that the update "defeats the original purposes Snapchat has had for the past years."

ICYMI, Snapchat's redesign has implemented several pretty big changes to the app. Before the redesign, Snapchat was split into Chat, Stories, and Discover. But, the latest update has removed the Stories feed—which features content posted by our friends, celebs, and publishers—entirely.

Snapchat in its post-update state looks significantly different to this. Snapchat now has Friends—which combines Chat and Stories from friends—and Discover, which features Stories from publishers and community.

At the time of publication, the petition had been signed by more than 681,000 people, and it appears to have gained more than 400K signatures in the past three days alone.

A quick scroll through the comments will provide an insight into the minds of disgruntled Snapchatters who're keen to reverse time.

"This is worse than the fucking Black Plague we need snap back," one commenter opined.

"The update is wack," wrote another individual. "I miss the old Snapchat. I hate the new Snapchat," added another.

Oh dear.
