The Watch Climax Onlinesummer of 2018 blessed us with many jams, but as the days get a little bit shorter, the time's come to declare one track champion.
SEE ALSO: The ultimate guide to picking your personal song of the summerSpotify released its official "Songs of the Summer" list based on number of streams, and it's filled with tracks that you've definitely had stuck in your head over the past three sweltering months.
Drake's "In My Feelings" takes the number one spot on Spotify's global and U.S. lists, but what else did you expect from the 6 god? "Kiki, do you love me?" was the question on everyone's minds after the #InMyFeelings challenge took off — and the video, featuring Phylicia Rashad and Lala Anthony, is a fun one, too. Between June 1 and August 20, Drake's song was streamed 393 million times.
It might not have been the most upbeat song of the summer, but Maroon 5's "Girls Like You" was an irresistible track that garnered 293 million streams. The music video — which features prominent women in politics, entertainment, and sports — racked up millions of views and took the track to even higher heights.
While technically Drake and Maroon 5 take the top spots, summer 2018 was full of Cardi B moments. "I Like It" was the infectious bop needed to quell the summer heat, and Bad Bunny and J Balvin elevate the song perfectly. It was streamed a whopping 289 million times.
