Dallas Mavericks rookie Dennis Smith Jr.,videos of sex with mothers picked ninth overall by Mark Cuban's club last month, has all the makings of a future star.
But first, Cuban had an important message for the new Mav: Delete those "stupid" old tweets.
Cuban divulged this tidbit in an interview with ESPN during an NBA Summer League game. Here's what he said, via ForTheWin:
... one of the first things after we drafted Dennis, and I’m talking to him on the phone, I’m like, 'Dude, I went through your Twitter account. It’s time to get on there and DELETE.'
And so, he went through it. And to his credit, they were gone. He had a lot of stupid stuff on there.
What sort of old tweets, you ask? Well, here's one that made the rounds on draft day. It's from 2012, when Smith was a high school sophomore.
This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed.
We can only imagine what other "stupid stuff" Smith had to delete after his call with Cuban, but such is the price of growing up.
