This national treasure is composed of eggs, rashers (bacon), sausages, baked beans, hash browns, buttered toast, and fried mushrooms and tomato. However, not all parts of this greasy plate of goodness are created equal.

YouGov conducted a survey asking the public about which parts of the full English breakfast they would consider quintessential, and the results are completely un-shocking -- bacon is queen.

89% of the population can't do a full English unless bacon is present and accounted for. The runner up is sausage with 82%. Meat is an obvious winner in the eyes (and stomachs) of the British public.

The survey had some other fun facts. It found that black pudding -- a.k.a. blood sausage -- is not popular among the ladies. 47% of men's ideal breakfasts would include black pudding compared to 24% of women.

The ideal fry up will vary from person to person. While everyone has their differences, all come together under one banner of love for the full English.
